Metric to play the Sound Academy on Thursday February 7th

On the eve of their much anticipated DVD release, Live at Metropolis, Metric have announced a special return engagement in Toronto at The Sound Academy, on Thursday, February 7th. As a special salute to their fans, tickets will be available for only $20.00 in advance + facility fee through ticketmaster.com, Rotate This, & Soundscapes.

Metric have spent much of the past two years touring across North America, Europe and Japan. Their Sound Academy show marks a successful return to Canada. Their second LP LIVE IT OUT, was nominated for the 2006 Polaris Music Prize for the Canadian Album of The Year as well as earned the Juno Award nomination for Best Alternative Album. Their sold out tour was documented at the Metropolis in Montreal, and will be released on DVD on February 12th by Last Gang Records. The DVD captures the band in action at a Winter 2006 Montreal stop and also includes the videos for Live It Out’s three singles.

Metric’s performance at The Sound Academy is presented by The Edge and is part of the Rock N Rail Music Series.
